Step-By-Step Guide to Programming HomeLink®

How do you connect your Chevy and garage door opener to HomeLink®? Follow the steps below:

  1. You’ll find the three buttons to control HomeLink® on the ceiling above your Chevy’s center console. Start by pressing and holding the first and third buttons until your car’s interior lights slowly flash. Usually, this takes about 20 seconds.
  2. Once the interior lights begin flashing on your Chevy, press and hold the button you want to program and simultaneously hold down the open/close button on the garage door opener. Next, your Chevy’s interior lights should flash rapidly to show that the button is programmed successfully.
  3. Go into your garage and press the “learn” button on the garage door opener.
  4. Next, climb back inside your Chevrolet and press the button you programmed for a minimum of two seconds until the lights on your garage door opener flash, which means it’s correctly programmed.
