The Chevy Silverado 1500 is offered in a wide range of different trim and configuration levels, with an MSRP starting at $27,585 for a basic Work Truck (WT) and going up to $57,420 for a fully-loaded High Country Crew Cab.

You’ll have your choice of three different engine options to power your Chevy Silverado 1500, each of which offers an attractive amount of power along with robust towing and payload capabilities and surprisingly strong fuel economy:

4.3L V6 – The base engine on the Silverado 1500 is a 4.3L V6, which comes with a six-speed automatic transmission that delivers 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. With a proper setup, this version of the Silverado is capable of towing up to 7,600 pounds. It’s also able to get up to an EPA-estimated 24 mpg highway and 18 mpg city.

5.3L V8 – Upgrade to the LTZ or High Country trim, and you’ll get a standard 5.3L V8, which is capable of dishing out a commanding 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque via a six-speed automatic or available eight-speed automatic transmission. Max fuel economy with this engine comes in at an EPA-estimated 23 mpg highway and 16 mpg city, and towing with the Max Trailering package comes in at up to 11,000 pounds.

6.2L V8 – Also available on the LTZ and High Country trim levels, the 6.2L V8 engine has a robust output of 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, which it sends through a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine configuration is able to tow up to a best-in-class 12,500 pounds, and max fuel economy is measured at an EPA-estimated 21 mpg highway and 15 mpg city.

Inside the 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500, you’ll have three different cab designs to choose from: Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab. The Regular Cab option gives you seating for three via one row of seats. The Double Cab moves you up to two rows of seats, four doors, and seating for up to six. The Crew Cab also has standard seating for six, including full out-swinging rear doors and extra room to provide easy entry in back.
